The bachelor’s degree programme 60110900 – “Foreign Language and Literature” is implemented in full-time and part-time modes, with a standard duration of four years for full-time study, and is aimed at training teachers who possess modern knowledge, skills, and competencies in the field of foreign languages and literature; graduates are qualified to work as teachers of foreign language and literature in general secondary schools, as educators in extracurricular institutions, as well as heads of cabinets and tutors in educational organizations, and in public administration bodies, non-governmental organizations, and educational and cultural centers as consultants, managers, tour guides–interpreters, journalists, or publicists; the curriculum includes courses in reading and writing practice, integration of speech skills, practice of language aspects, a second foreign language, methodology of teaching a foreign language, theory and practice of translation, history of foreign literature, inclusive education, and media literacy, while qualification internships (introductory, pedagogical, and pre-graduation) ensure the consolidation of theoretical knowledge and the formation of professional skills, and upon completion graduates are awarded the qualification “Teacher of Foreign Language and Literature.”
