Based on the qualification requirements of the Bachelor’s degree program in Geography (60530200), this field of study is aimed at training bachelor specialists who are able to scientifically analyze natural and socio-economic geography, geosystems, territorial development, demographic processes, and the interactions between nature and society, and who are capable of carrying out practical and research activities using cartography, geographic information systems, and remote sensing technologies. Graduates may work as geography teachers in general secondary, secondary specialized, and vocational education institutions, as well as specialists in research institutes, planning and forecasting centers, environmental protection organizations, statistical agencies, and territorial governance bodies. They are expected to possess the necessary competencies to analyze territorial processes, compile and interpret maps, address issues of rational use of natural resources, protect the environment, and implement the principles of sustainable development in practice.
