The bachelor’s degree programme 60110400 – “Primary Education” is implemented in full-time and part-time modes, with a standard duration of four years for full-time study, and is aimed at training teachers who possess modern pedagogical knowledge, skills, and competencies for primary education; graduates are qualified to work as primary school teachers in general secondary schools and vocational education institutions, as specialists in mass media, public administration bodies, as well as in other public and non-public organizations and in the administration of educational institutions; the curriculum includes courses in primary education pedagogy, theory of the primary mathematics course, native language, children’s literature, natural sciences, the subject “Upbringing,” inclusive education, media literacy, and the organization of teaching based on international assessment programmes (PISA, TIMSS, PIRLS), while qualification internships (introductory, pedagogical, and pre-graduation) ensure the consolidation of theoretical knowledge and the formation of professional skills, and upon completion graduates are awarded the qualification “Primary Education Teacher.”
