Rector

Bakhodir Mamurov was born in 1981 in the city of Bukhara. In 2005, he graduated from Bukhara State University with a degree in Sports Psychology. He holds a Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences degree and is a professor. He began his professional career in 2005 as a teacher at the Department of Bukhara State University and later held the positions of Head of Department and Dean of Faculty. B. Mamurov is the author of more than 150 scientific articles, 6 monographs, 8 manuals, and 6 textbooks. He is also one of the authors to the "Pedagogy" encyclopedia. Prior to his appointment, he served as the Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education at Bukhara State University.

The responsibilities of the rector include:
Organizing the implementation of the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, decrees and orders of the President, as well as the decisions of the Oliy Majlis and the Cabinet of Ministers in the field of education and personnel training;
Ensuring the training of highly qualified specialists with higher education, possessing high moral values, independent thinking, and skills in organizing work under market conditions;
Organizing the training of qualified specialists based on state educational standards;
Ensuring the fulfillment of tasks defined by the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Education" and the National Program for Personnel Training;
Defining the powers of all structural divisions of the higher education institution, planning, coordinating, and managing their activities; preparing personnel for managerial positions; selecting staff; recommending and hiring employees;
Providing material and moral incentives for employees, ensuring their social protection, and applying disciplinary measures;
Controlling the formation of the university's income and ensuring its effective use;
Organizing scientific research, increasing its effectiveness, and widely implementing research results into practice; ensuring the integration of education, science, and production;
Organizing the creation, translation, and publication of new-generation textbooks and educational-methodological literature in accordance with the concept of educational literature for the system of continuous education;
Introducing and effectively using advanced teaching methods, including distance learning, new pedagogical approaches, and information and communication technologies;
Leading spiritual, educational, and moral work, and fostering national ideology among staff and students;
Organizing admission to bachelor's, master's, and postgraduate programs, handling expulsions and reinstatements, and ensuring compliance with internal regulations;
Ensuring the professional development and qualification improvement of academic and teaching staff;
Organizing living and other necessary conditions for students, postgraduate researchers, and academic staff, and ensuring their social protection;
Maintaining continuous control over the work of faculties and departments, the educational process, and the quality of lectures, practical and laboratory classes, internships, and other types of academic activities;
Organizing events aimed at identifying development prospects for academic disciplines and specializations (holding scientific-practical conferences, participating in international forums, creating access to information space, and providing access to relevant scientific, technical, and informational materials); based on this, improving state educational standards, curricula, and educational literature, and guiding scientific research;
Developing marketing services to study the demand and needs for academic disciplines and specializations, analyzing graduate employment, and organizing targeted training agreements with partners;
Developing and implementing measures to strengthen and expand the university’s material and technical base, leading the University Academic Council, and improving the institutional structure, including the establishment, reorganization, and dissolution of its units;
Developing scientific and creative cooperation with international partners, attracting investments and grants, and organizing joint enterprises (departments, research centers, scientific projects, etc.);
Collaborating with public organizations, boards of trustees, and other non-governmental organizations;
Ensuring the execution of other tasks assigned by authorized bodies managing the educational process.
