Cooperation between Uzbekistan and Belarus in Higher Education Reaches a New Stage

    A high-level delegation from Uzbekistan, including representatives from the Bukhara region, is currently on an official working visit to the Republic of Belarus. The primary objective of the visit is to further strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation between the higher education institutions of Uzbekistan and Belarus, promote academic mobility, and expand joint initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of education and scientific potential.

    The delegation includes Bahodir Bakhshullayevich Ma'murov, Rector of the Bukhara State Pedagogical Institute, along with members of the institute’s academic staff. As part of the visit, the delegation visited Vitebsk State University in the Republic of Belarus.

    During the visit, the delegation held an official meeting with the Rector of the university, Valentina Vasilyevna Bogatyrova. The meeting was conducted in a warm and constructive atmosphere, during which the parties exchanged views on ongoing reforms in higher education, modern approaches to teacher training, and the future prospects for international academic cooperation.

    The delegation also toured the university’s modern educational, scientific, and social infrastructure created for students, as well as its innovative learning environment. Particular attention was given to the university’s material and technical facilities, laboratories, information resource center, and advanced practices in the digitalization of the educational process.

    At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides outlined promising areas of cooperation, including improving the quality of training highly qualified specialists in pedagogy, launching joint educational programs, expanding academic exchange opportunities for faculty members and students, strengthening research collaboration, and jointly implementing innovative projects.

    This visit represents an important step toward further strengthening the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Belarus in the field of education, expanding international academic cooperation, and elevating the long-term and effective partnership between the two higher education institutions to a new level.
